Eating a little crow
I owe the makers of these blades at least a partial apology. A month ago I wrote that Astras's quality is inconsistent. But, after trying a couple of more brands, I've found nothing better. To date, I count 10 brands of blades that I've tried, but, for me, Astra Platinums are still the best (and I still wish they were a little more consistent).

Very Nice
Very sharp razors mean a very smooth shave. Seem to be fairly forgiving as well. I recommend them.

Good Blade
I am pretty new at shaving with a double edge razor and these are the only blades that i have used, but so far they have been very good to me. I am not too sure how long your typical razor is supposed to last, but these last me about 4 or 5 shaves on average. I get a really close shave with literally no irritation (i used to get razor burn really bad with a Schick Hydro and a Gillette Fusion). This is definitely a great razor for a very affordable price.

Quality
I'm a newbie to a safety razor and I started with these. Love them, no reason to change. They work very well, I change blades weekly regardless of use.

Great blades
I jniw that blades depend on your face... I havr very sensitive skin, and these blades paired with an Edwin Jagger de89 leave my face with not even a hint of irritation, I find them very smooth and sharp enough to get about 5-7shaves, depending on if i skip days in between. Great buy for me.
