Description

Feather Professional Artist Club SS Folding Razor is the new replacement to the very popular "Artist Club RG" straight razor. The scales (handles) are significantly refined and more ergonomic than the previous RG. It is perfect for the gentleman that desires a straight razor shave without the straight razor maintenance.

The blade holder is made from Stainless Steel. It is both beautiful and built to last. The handle is made of a very high quality and durable resin which will stand up to heat and cleaning chemicals.

With four different available Feather replacement blades, you are able to adjust the shave to suit your skin and beard. The pivot screw tension can also be adjusted.

	Closest Shave Period
	The Feather Artist Club SS Razor has given me the closest shave I have ever had and is smooth in the process. I love using straight razors. I love the lore and the process of stropping and honing. I have two Dovos and two Hart Steels. I love that I never have to worry about running out of blades. If I shave on a Sunday afternoon with one of my Dovos or Hart Steels and I do 3 passes, I will not have to shave until Tuesday. (when I used an electric razor, I could shave twice a day). When I use the Feather SS, I can get away with not shaving until Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. I knew that Feather makes ridiculously sharp blades from my safety razor use. I use Feather blades in my Merkur Futur. I decided that I would give Feather's straight razor a try. It was without a doubt the closest shave I have ever had. The first pass was with the Feather just about as close as two passes with my regular straight razors. Two passes with the Feather AC SS and it was as BBS as three passes with the stropped and honed straights. The second pass is so close that if I did a third pass I would only be scraping off skin. I do have to be extra careful with the Feather as it is less forgiving than the Dovo or Hart Steel. The Feather Artist Club SS requires just a light touch. It is also astoundingly smooth for such a scarily sharp blade. I am happy to add the Feather SS to my rotation. I also cannot imagine a better shave. If you enjoy straight razor shaving, or would like to have one of the closest shaves ever, I would recommend adding this tool to your repertoire.

	Impressive Straight Razor
	Thanks to Westcoast Shaving for their pricing and quick delivery. I have used the Feather Artist Club SS 8 days and I am so impressed with this quality shaver. I am receiving the closest shave ever and the SS is so easy to use. I just received my Dovo Black Star straight razor after waiting over 4 weeks and the shave-ready Dovo does not shave as close or as easily as the Feather SS. The new Feather SS has a rounded tip that gives a close and comfortable shave. The older Feather DX and RG straight razors have a more pointed tip, I have not used these. I recommend you you buy the new Feather SS before you buy any straight razor. Also, Westcoast Shaving will give you the best price and the quickest free delivery.

	Great shaver!!
	These razors are great for one who wants a straight razor shave without the honing,stropping...... The feather blades last a long time and are extremely sharp. Also much smoother than the previous feather artist club straights

	Amazing razor
	The build quality is amazing and the shave even more so. One needs to be a bit careful for the first 2-3 shaves, but from there on, its amazingly close and comfortable as well. Feather blades last for >10 shaves ...

	Great Razor!
	With all due respect to the surgeon, please know that for well over 200 years, all men shaved with straight razors or didn't shave at all. If we look at Japanese Kamisoris - the non-folding SS equivalent - those go back over 800 years. Yes - there is a learning curve. No - it's not nearly as dangerous as alligator wrestling or bull riding. And last I checked - there are no recorded incidents of someone dying due to a shaving accident...unlike those who have a bad day riding motorcycles.
