Shaving Accessories Education

We carry all those accessories to make shaving easier, more streamlined, and in many cases, just. . . better! Bowls for creams and soaps, shaving stands to hold your razor, strops to keep your blades sharp, and lots of the best travel supplies on the market for when you're on the go and still want to take time for your morning shaving ritual. We also love all of our barber friends so much that we set up a whole section just for them!

Shaving Bowls, Mugs, & Stands

Specially designed bowls and mugs can be very helpful in whipping up the best lather. Ceramic and porcelain can be warmed and retain heat during your shave. Textured bottoms helps you aerate your cream to get a frother lather. Non-slip grips, handles, broad rims, and other features make lathering a breeze. Stands are also an extremely important but oft forgotten element in wet shaving. They are an investment in maintaining your tools. Leaving wet steel in a drawer or cabinet is a recipe for disaster. It is important to dry your brush and razor between uses and a stand is essential for that.

Razor Strops & Hones

Strops are essential for those straight razor shavers. Keeping your blade in tip top shape is important. Strops can be one sided or two sided. One-sided strops have just a leather strip for finishing your blade before you shave. The two-sided ones also have a linen, cotton, or similar material for cleaning the oxidation off your blade before it goes to the leather.

Shaving Mirrors & Towels

No matter where you are shaving, a mirror is important. We have camping mirrors and "truly fog free" mirrors for those who love to shower shave.

Towels are also an important shaving accessory, not just for keeping your space clean but for the benefits they provide. A hot towel applied to your face before a shave will soften the hair and follicle, open the pores, and prepare your skin for the blade. A good shaving towel will retain heat nicely and isn't too big and bulky to use on your face.

Travel & Dopp Bags

Now that you've fallen in love with wet shaving, you will want to take it with you on the go. Leather cases are sturdy and heavy-duty to protect your razor. Canvas is also a good choice for its durability and ability to resist stains. There are also containers to protect your shaving brush and razor.

This stand holds my Merkur 34c and Omega 0146138 HI-BRUSH perfectly, and looks great on my bathroom counter. It makes me feel good knowing that my shaving gear has a chance to dry out in between shaves.

I love using this product. I use a shave brush and this product creates a great lather. Slight pleasing odor works well even for my sensitive skin.

Palmolive for Men Classic Shaving Soap Stick "You not supposed to remove all the foil at once, just enough to get to the soap, then work down as the soap is used up, my stick did fall out of that small cap at the bottom, you can also get some more aluminum foil and wrap it up for storage, for travel. Some people build a PVC holder with holes drilled to slide it in for travel.

You should wet the stick, let it sit for a few minutes, to help it go on, it is a rather hard soap, a little warm water, another way to use it is to wet the stick, soak your brush, sling excess water out of the brush, then hold the soap deep into the sink to keep down slinging the soap onto the top of the sink, floor, all over, and rub your brush over the soap in a circular back and forth motion rather quickly, trying to incorporate a little air, much like a soap dish.

It's a convenient soap and gets the job done, its been around for a long time.

Haslinger Schafmilch Shaving Soap with Sheep Milk and Lanolin "I am so impressed by this product. The scent is supprisingly good for a mild soap. The lather is easy to build and the creamiest of anything I've tried. The combination of protection and slickness is great. My face feels hydrated and nourished when I'm done. Even though the price per ounce is higher than many soaps, it is worth it to me. It is also free of any questionable ingredients. This is truly a great product. Thanks WCS!

Barbicide Disinfectant, 16oz "I dipped the heads into the solution for ten minutes and then turned the shaver on to spin debris out of them. The shaver was restored to that new feel.
