A Beautiful tool
I've had 3 shaves with this razor so far and love it . It is very aggressive but in a good way . The fit and finish of the 37c is very nice, looks good and shaves better. Well worth a try if you appreciate a good close shave and beautiful tool.
Excellent for Trouble Spots:
This razor has to be the absolute smoothest DE safety razor I have ever used in my lifetime. It does and extremely good job at getting your trouble spots such as around the adam's apple and neck areas. So far the best DE blade I've found for this razor is the Gillette Silver Blues.
Smooth and BBS
After doing many hours of research and reading reviews, I'm glad I purchased this razor from WCS. I have been using my Edwin Jagger DE89 since I began wet shaving and the 37c is much smoother, more efficient, and quickly becoming my go to razor. I have sensitive skin, coarse hair, and hair that grows in all different angles around my neck. This razor paired with your favorite blade will make mince meat out of your stubble but leave your skin intact. This is very forgiving as long as you have your fundamentals set in stone. Buy this razor as a second or third... No nicks or weepers yet! Happy shaving!
Just tried a late night shave with the 37C my SO bought for my birthday today. I was in a hurry so I just used the Avalon non-foaming shave cream (great for travel) and did a single WTG pass with the included Merkur blade (one of my regular favorites). Ok, it's only a partial test. I will give it a three pass tomorrow morning with proper lather, but I felt no sense at all of over aggressiveness. I used the advice and ignored the fact that it was a slant. Cut very close and no discomfort or nicks. No more difficult than my standard EJ DE89L. The only thing negative is the rather poor finish of the handle. Looks really cheap compared to the EJ.
Best shave I have ever had
I was a little reluctant to get this razor because I was afraid it would be too aggressive. I have ultra sensitive skin, especially in my neck area. Now that I have tried it all I can say is wow. I don't have anymore trouble with razor burn or nicks. This is the last razor you will need. It has a good weight and it glides through my barb wire beard. Just get this razor.
To slant or not to slant
This razor is great. Nothing to fear it being too aggressive. Paied it with an Astra blade, Semogue boar brush and Taylor of Old...soap.
