Description
The Merkur Heavy Duty Long Handle Barber Pole Safety Razor is a chrome finished 2-piece double edge razor. The comfortable handle is approximately 3.75" long and is designed with a non-slip grip. Longer and heavier than the HD, it weighs over 4 oz. This razor uses double edge blades for a close and comfortable shave. Replacement blades are available.

Made in Germany.

great value
I have bought 4 of these so far. One for me, three as gifts. Prefer two piece, love the heft and quality too. There are no bells or whisltles, just a finely made tool.

Horrible
Look at the link below before buying ANY Merkur product. They do not stand behind there razors. Told me mine flaked because of water. In 30 years my Gillete never flaked using the same water. Hopefully Westcoast leaves this up so there are no more victims. Look at the Badger and blade forum thread id... 135882-Merkur-Finish-Question

Great razor
I bought this razor about 6 months ago and figured I would write a review now that I've put it through its paces. Great razor, no questions about it. It's a big, hefty razor that does all the work. It has great balance and weight. The quality and finish on this razor is top notch. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quality razor. It may not be the cheapest razor around, but like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. That's certainly true with this Merkur

Excellent Razor
I'm new to wet shaving and this razor is the perfect size and weight. I do no work, it does it all. After the 3rd shave, very little nicks. Solid razor.

Too Big for Me
This is a quality razor with a nice weight to it, but it is too big for me. I like the HD style Merkurs or the 1904 better. But if you have large hands, this one might be for you.
