NEW 2011 head design in stock! 

The traditional safety razor with replaceable blade is regarded by many as the first mechanical razor for self-shaving. At MÜHLE it is more: a minor miracle of precision, ergonomics and beauty, created for ambitious wet shavers. Our design combines high-quality metal-working (chrome-plating) with an extremely fine engraved finish and has an open comb. Comes with a short instruction and one blade.



The GRANDE version features a longer and wider handle than the original version. This model also fits the RHM SR safety razor stand.

Beautiful, Well Made, but Too Aggressive
This razor gives me a slight burn on my more areas. I would recommend a slant as an alternative which also provides a close shave, and is smoother. But if you want an extremely aggressive razor that shaves like a straight, this is it.

Great "Old Style" razor
I really like this razor. It has the charm of an old style Gillette with better quality than was available back then. It is a bit bigger than an Old Style Gillette, fits better in the hand and is more robust. The only concern is that the texture and plating of this piece is SO SMOOTH that it can be slippery in the wet hand. I wish the handle texture had more Grip to it. The shave? Perfect! Every time.

Excellent Razor
I really enjoy this razor as I'm a big fan of the open comb head. I've become so accustomed to my 1921 Gillette "new standard" which is open comb, its hard to use anything else. The fit and finish are very nice, my only complaint is that its on the light side for me, could be a bit heavier. Still an excellent razor.
