The Semogue 1470 is a value packed boar bristle shaving brush.  Boar bristle is perfect for those that prefer a stiffer brush.  This 21mm gem is a great value as it contains the the same high-quality Semogue bristle at an attractive price.  It's great on soaps and the tips will soften over time.

An absolute steal
What a fantastic brush! High grade, undyed, natural boar bristle, with a simple cherry wood handle, this brush is the pilgrim of the Semogue line up. Don't let it's simple looks fool you. I lathers as well as any boar I've used, andw when broken in, is easily as good as brushes twice it's price.

Looks bad but works well.
I'm not sure whether I got a lemon or if they are all like mine, but the brush I got has a really uneven shape to the knot. The knot is nominally bulb shaped but the top has areas which stick up and areas which are sunken down. Also, after some use, I have bristles curling away from the bulb all around the perimeter. However, it works rather well and feels nice lathering up. I still use this quite frequently despite its rough edges.
