Definitely worth trying

Shark Super Chrome Double Edge Razor Blades.I'm 3 years into shaving with my DE razor, and most of the first year was spent giving several blade manufacturers a try. Ultimately, the Shark super chromes suited my beard best. By all means, experiment, but don't be afraid to try these based on someone else's dissatisfaction. Their face is not your face.

A very good shave especially for the price

Shark Super Chrome Double Edge Razor Blades (100 Blades). Some of this is going to depend on your beard. Even though I do not have a heavy beard it can be rather course. I am just about through a 100 sharks. For me the razor blade gives a very good shave (I usually do two passes in the morning) for approximately the first two or three days. Generally after that I believe it is not quite as sharp. I think the Merkur blade gives a better shave and will last approximately 5 days; however, due to the sharks being one-third of the price it is worth while to go with the Sharks over Merkur (I still use Merkur at various times) even if I change the blade every two days. Both are very good deals over cartridges.

Shark Super Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades (100 Blades).I purchased a sampler pack of blades several years ago, and landed squarely on the Shark Super Stainless as my preferred blade. Smooth, close and just about perfect.

Sharpness and Smoothness - Great Performers

Shark Super Chrome Double Edge Razor Blades (100 Blades).Take a moment to view NICK SHAVES on YouTube and his shaving review of the Shark Super Chrome blades. His conclusion as well as mine is that this blade finishes strong and by the second and third pass this blade comes alive and provides a super smooth and close shave with nearly no irritation! I also like the Shark Super Stainlesss -- perhaps a slightly sharper blade but both are smooth, buy both and compare, you won't be disappointed!

They work, but

Shark Super Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades, 5-pak.I was expecting more for my first DEMshave ever. What I got was mediocre at best, scruffy at the worst. I've tried many methods and modes of shaving over my 40+ years (cartridge, electric, multi-blade) and many have given me closer and more comfortable shaves. I would call these blades utilitarian if anything, not superlative by any means.

Didn't work for me

Shark Super Chrome Double Edge Razor Blades.Looking over the reviews, it seems these blades are too sharp, too dull or perfect, lol. I've become convinced there's more to a razor blade, like the razor, technique, quality control within the brand, etc, and what works for one guy may not work for the next. In any case, I have a medium beard and use an EJ D89L razor. I bought a 5-pack of Sharks just to give it a whirl. I stopped after two blades. Too much tugging, got a couple of nicks for the first time in months and overall just not a comfortable shave. Derby, Wilkinson and Astra continue to be my blades of choice, but I've got 10 or 12 other brands in my drawer waiting for their chance.

Good Blade

Shark Super Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades, 5-pak.I thought this was a good blade. I have a heavy beard and had not shaved for 48 hours and the shave was smooth. No burn, no pull. I think a lot of negatives about blades have to do more to do with pre-shave prep and lather rather than the blade itself. I also use an adjustable Fat Boy which may make a difference as well.
