Like many other artisan soap makers, Barrister & Mann started with a passion for wet shaving, sensitive skin, trial & error, and a desire to listen to others. With this magical combination, B&M often leads the list of best artisan shaving soap makers. Their Latha line offers their most accessible soap, economical, effective, and exceptional. Try Barrister & Mann Latha Shaving Soap, Original.
If you are looking for an artisan, American made product that doesn't break the bank, then this is the soap for you. Designed specifically for wet shavers on a limited budget, you still get an amazing tallow soap with slickness and skincare. Formulated with argan oil & shea butter for moisture and sodium citrate to protect the lather from hard water, the result was a dense, creamy, slick lubricant.
This soap got its "Latha" name from the founder's 50s minded, New Jersey father, who first named it "LathaMan". Initially it was only offered in one scent. ("Hey, in the 50s, products only came in one scent and that was good enough for us!") This is the original scent, a classic barbershop fragrance. Notes of lavender, vanilla, oakmoss, carnation, geranium, heliotrope, and musk combine for a smooth, clean scent. Not stodgy, or musty, or old, this throwback scent is refined, like you might find on Madison Ave in the 1950s (or even today).
Shave with class (even on a budget) with Barrister & Mann Latha Shaving Soap, Original.
