It's almost "what you might expect if a forest gnome invited you for a holiday dinner - quiet, kind of earthy, with some hints of spice" so says Myrkvior creator, John, from L.A. Shaving Soap Co. This handcrafted, small batch soapmaker is creating artisan, vegan soaps with exceptional lather and complex scents.
L.A. Shaving Soap has gained quite a following for its vegetable glycerin soaps, but this is the first soap in their line to tinker with a new recipe. This formula includes avocado oil and cocoa butter (in addition to the original coconut oil and glycerin), sure to provide an exceptionally moisturizing shave. And they substitute beer for water which gives a light brown coloring to the grooming product as well as a thick lather and excellent post shave feel.
Myrkvior (Old Norse for dark wood) combines extracts and essential oils to create this warm, earthy, subtle scent. Whiskey takes a lead in this masculine, deep aroma. Vanilla, rose, & geranium add a touch of floral sweetness. Then base notes of cedarwood, black spruce, and juniper provide the woody aroma. This aroma and its name were developed by popular votes on /r/wet_shavers subreddit. They liked it and you are sure to as well!
Take a walk in the woods (with or without the forest gnome) with this captivating scent.
