Lord Razor Blades

According to Shakespeare, Mark Antony was "barber'd ten times o'er"? before going to feast with Cleopatra. Obviously, only a man determined to achieve a perfectly clean shave could capture the heart of the queen of Egypt, so it makes sense that one of the top manufacturers of razors and blades in the modern world is headquartered in Alexandria. Continuing Antony's quest for the most noble of shaves, Lord has been making wet blades and products for over 75 years and has risen to prominence as one of the top six manufacturers in the industry worldwide. Tireless research and development as well as a drive to be on the leading edge for the future have anchored Lord's mission and helped them to produce superior products with a high standard for convenience and economy. If only things had turned out as well for Antony.

Lord Razor Blades Reviews
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades) Used three different blades in 3 different razors with three different brushes and three different creams; First shave was good. Smooth. Second shave poor: pulled , didn't cut beard as first one did. Took four passes to get smooth. Thirty cents a blade (5 pack). Would not reorder.
Lord Blades
Lord Super Stainless Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades) "Ive tried several other blades. These cut the best and I do not get any skin irritation with them
Unexpectedly good blade
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades) "Let me start out by stating that I HATE Shark blades. I got 13 of them free with razors or sample packs and after trying two, gave the rest away. To my face and style of saving they feel rough and give me a poor shave even when new. (I know some people love them YMMV). With that disclaimer aside, I approached their stable-mate the "New Lord Platinum" that I also received in the same sample pack with a very jaundiced eye. i was prepared to try them for a shave or two and dislike them from the get go.

I was amazed on how well they worked for me. They aren't in my top 5, but they are in the top 10. I got 5 excellent shaves out of each blade in a Parker 65C. I will try then in my Ikon slant next.
Great blades
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades) "I've tried a few different blades in my safety razor and this one is my favorite so far. Good price, good sharpness and still provides a close, but safe shave. I used one brand that was far too easy to cut myself with. I may experiment with other brands but I'm very happy with Lord's.
Smooth Shave, minimal nicking
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (100 Blades) "I bought a few sample packs & tried lots of blades before selecting the Lord Platinum blades. Are they as sharp as Feather - nothing is. Do they give me a better shave - absolutely. I get a very smooth shave every time, with very little to no nicking. Those Feathers were sharp as h*ll, but they left my face bleeding every time. Of course, the choice of blades is quite subjective, as is how you shave. I use a pre-shave (PREP), PRORASO cream applied with a brush, LOTS of hot water, and a vintage Gillette Black Boy set to 6. YMMV, depending on your situation, but if you get your beard really prepped well, you will get a good shave with these. At $0.10/each, I think that they are an overall winner.
Great for sensitive skin
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades) Found these to be perfect for me. I cut fairly easily in some areas on my face and this is the only blade I've found that works perfectly for me. Close shave, no cuts or irritation, and cheap to boot! All I really use anymore.
Good Value at Price point
Lord Platinum Double Edge Razor Blades (5 Blades).I'm pleasantly surprised with these blades. My face tends to be overly sensitive and I get razor bumps fairly easily. The issue is compounded with coarse facial hair. These blades seem to be smooth enough to minimize the burn I get with sharper blades while still being sharp enough not to tug. I actually get more shaves per blade, on average, than any other brand. For those that have already found their favorite blade it is unlikely you will switch to these; however, for those that are still searching or aren't committed to any one brand these are certainly worth a try. All in all, I found these to be a decent value and comfortable product.
