Best Selling Shaving Brushes for 2018 (Top 9)-West Coast Shaving

Best Selling Shaving Brushes for 2018 (Top 9)

We've compiled a list of our best selling shaving brushes in 2018. From silvertips to pure badgers to synthetics to boar hair, we have something for everyone. Even before the safety razor gained prominence in the last century, shaving brushes were a staple in the grooming arsenal of any fine gentleman. And they weren't just for decoration either.

Shaving brushes serve a vital purpose in your grooming routine. First, the bristles lift soap/cream from the surface of the puck and begin to insert air into the product to produce mounds of fluffy, frothy lather. That lather provides the slickness, glide, and protection you need for a smooth, close shave. Next, a shaving brush exfoliates the skin and lifts the tiny hairs to prepare them for the blade. Therefore, things like backbone, tips, and hair type all play a role in creating lather (whether on creams or soaps), exfoliating your skin, and feel on your face. When you find a brush that hits all the right notes for you, you've found your shaving mojo.

Here are some of the most sought after brushes at West Coast Shaving.

Ned Leonard - January 17, 2019

The WSC Tortoiseshell Collection Torch Silvertip well deserves its top rating. I’ve owned two other brushes — one a silvertip — before now. It was in watching a video where the moderator was extolling the virtues of his brush choice because it only had lost three bristles in the first few days, that I remembered the admonition that “all brushes lose some bristles during initial use.” Well, that’s simply not true. I’ve used this brush daily for over six weeks and lost nary a one. This is a big, lush brush of extraordinary water- and lather-carrying capacity at an inconceivable price point. If you’ve any sense and need a brush, start here!
