Thank you for participating in our Father's Day contest! Contest is now closed. Congratulations to our winner, Mr. Fawson, who commented:
My Father, though he is a tough cowboy, taught me how to be a kind gentleman. I vividly remember my mother telling me about when they were dating. She told me how she never had to worry about being on guard and "keeping the man in check," because he was ALWAYS respectful of her as a Lady. He has also shown his gentlemanly behavior anytime he is out and about. He always speaks kindly to others regardless of status. He truly has taught me how to be a kind gentleman. If nothing else, I want to make sure this quality is known.
We love the men in our lives who taught us
- how to tell terrible jokes (or tell jokes terribly)
- how to wear socks with sandals
- how not to ask for directions
- how to work hard
- how to shave those first, wimpy whiskers
Father’s Day is around the corner. And it's time to remember those wise and wacky, hard-working and fun-loving, self-sacrificing and candy-stealing, authoritative and adventurous men who taught us by word and deed to be men ourselves. Whether your dad took you to the museum or the ballpark or the fishing hole, you probably learned a thing or two along the way.
TO ENTER: sometime between Thursday, June 4 and Sunday, June 14, leave a comment on this blog post and tell us something valuable that you learned from your father figure.
We will enter you in a random drawing (no purchase necessary) to receive a special West Coast Shaving Gift set, hand-picked just for Father's Day. So, go ahead toot his horn! Dad-by-birth, dad-by-choice, grandfather, uncle - tell us what life lesson he taught you.
Of course, you could keep the winnings for yourself. . . , but he taught you better than that! Offer it to the man who gives so much to you. A gift set like this is sure to please even the man who has everything.
And since you are so magnanimous in your praise of others, check out a little something for yourself (you know you deserve it). And if you find yourself passing these links along to your wife and kids, well, that is simply a public service, of course.
- Start His Wet Shaving Set - this kit has it all: Merkur DE razor and a sample pack of blades, Vulfix badger brush, Omega chrome stand, and Speick classic shaving cream & aftershave.
- Spoil Him a Little Set - Pull out all the stops with this marvelous, wet-shaving kit: Edwin Jagger DE razor (with a sample pack of blades) and best badger brush, chrome stand, and Geo F Trumper Extract of Limes shaving cream and matching skin food.
So, walk down memory lane and perhaps you’ll discover those jokes were pretty funny, getting lost had a charm of its own, and working hard has served you well. (But, ain’t nobody pulling off socks and sandals!)
Contest ends at midnight PST on June 14th to give you plenty of time to gift this to a special dad in your life, if you win! So go ahead and comment away. We hope you win!
Please note: only one entry per person.
