  • Complete, innovative Rockwell razor
  • Made with stainless steel
  • Handle with 3 plates for a customizable shave

The Rockwell razor is like having your cake and eating it, too. You love wet shaving, you love to save money, and now you can love to customize your shave to your exact specifications. This innovative new razor has taken the shaving world by storm - successfully funded in 24 hours through Kickstarter (an online crowdfunding platform). In reaction to the expense of cartridge shaving, co-founders Everard & Nordstrom combined a passion for value with a passion for wet shaving and began the quest for a new razor design. Join the movement to kick cartridges to the curb and love your classic shave. Try the Rockwell 6S Adjustable Stainless Steel Safety Razor.

With clear respect for the double-edge safety razor of the past but with a desire for innovation, they developed an adjustable head shaving utensil that gives every man the perfect shave. Interchangeable, flippable heads allow you to find the exact spacing and angle that works for your facial hair type (when assembled the size visible on the underside of the razor is the one you are shaving with). Disposable, inexpensive DE blades give you value for your shave, as well. Made in the USA with stainless steel, it is elegant and durable.

With the 6S you get the whole enchilada:

  • Heavy-duty handle with knurled (non-slip) grip
  • Plate A: sizes 1/3 give a mild shave for fine to medium facial hair
  • Plate B: sizes 2/4 give a medium shave for medium to heavy growth
  • Plate C: sizes 5/6 give an aggressive shave for heavy, coarse whiskers

Find your happy place with Rockwell 6S Adjustable Stainless Steel Safety Razor.

The DE Razor I *Should* Have Bought, Right From the Start

The Rockwell 6S is my third DE razor and, as the title states, is the razor I should have bought right from the start. Everything about it is, hands down, top-notch: fit and finish are excellent. I was accustomed to using a longer handle prior to getting the 6S, and was concerned it would be too short for my rather large hands. Turns out it feels like a perfect fit. The knurling on the handle is what I would call "assertive"; meaning I find it "grippy" without being sharp. It's a weighty razor, and that did require some adjustment in my technique but it was an easy adjustment to make. Probably my favorite thing about the 6S is how regardless of what blade I'm using, I can always find a base-plate, or base-plate combination, that just works with it. Yes, I have some preferred blades, but I've yet to come across a single DE blade the 6S could not adequately tame. Personally, I usually start by using Plate 4 for the first pass (with the grain), then switch to Plate 3 for the remaining two passes (across the grain and against the grain). Other times Plate 3 is all I need; specifics depend on what blade I'm using and how much growth needs to be mowed down. With the "right" blade I can often get by with just two passes. If I'm actively chasing a BBS shave (which I'm typically not, in all honesty) then yeah, I'll do a third pass, but for a routine, mid-week shave, two passes gives an entirely acceptable shave in my opinion. It took me a bit of experimentation to settle on this particular Plate-Switching Routine but once I got everything dialed-in, I've had nothing but great shaves (assuming I do my part, of course). Some may be wondering if it isn't a big pain in the backside to switch plates in the middle of a shave. All I can say is, it takes me about fifteen seconds: twist handle, swap plates, twist handle. If that sounds overwhelming, you can always stick with using a single plate or, of course, maybe the 6S is just not the razor for you; it's a very personal decision. For me, though, the 6S is my last razor. Full stop. I'm completely happy with it in every regard. My only regret is not getting a 6S sooner. If you're wavering on spending the extra money for fully stainless "S" version, versus the chrome-plated "C" version, all I can say is the all-stainless version is pure, unadulterated sweetness. My advice: Just Do It. Drop the extra few bucks and save yourself the inevitable wondering if you should have.

Excellent, flexible modern safety razor

I had been using a Gillette Slim and a Fatboy. This razor was an eye opener. I am getting a much better shave with this gear. It is just the right weight, well constructed, gripable when wet. Its also “adjustable” by changing the plates. The razor is made from Stainless Steel. It is worth every penny. I enjoy using this razor.

One of The Best

This is simply one of the best razors available - in my top 3 of all time. That it can be adjusted to your needs and likes is a real plus. It’s good looking and well made. The matte finish is handsome. Some prefer polished that can be acquired custom. This razor does not cover the ends of the blades if that is important to you. I prefer those that do but since it’s so good otherwise I find that a minor issue.

Rockwell 6S Razor

I’m very pleased with the Rockwell 6S razor. It provides a smooth close shave and I have not experienced any problems with the razor. I rinse and dry the razor after every use and it has not developed the tea stains that so many complain about on a stainless steel razor. Take care of your razor and it will take care of you.

Shaving The Correct Way

Going from a typical 5 blade razor in most stores to a safety razor which gives that hot shave closeness, the Rockwell 6S Adjustable Stainless Steel Safety Razor is worth the $100.00 price tag. Being able to adjust the closeness with the metal plates : Example, you may start the day off with the # 4 plate but for the night on the town; taper to the # 2 plate for a quick refresh. Rockwell definitely has this one right.
