Astra blade review
For about 10 years, Pol Silver has been my favorite razor blade. I Just tried Astra for the first time and for me (my beard, my face), it was better than Pol Silver. I don't give it a big advantage over Pol Silver (which I still consider to be excellent), but I thought that the Astra had a very slight, but noticeable advantage over the Pol Silver. This review is based just on my first 2 shaves with an Astra blade. If subsequent shaves aren't as good, I will modify my review. I've used Feather blades in the past (for more than 3 years at one time), but I would often cut, nick, or scrape my face with them. This didn't happen to me with the Astra blades, and it also doesn't happen with the Pol Silver blades. For reference, I don't try to get a lot of shaves out of each blade that I use. I'm 76 years old and at this point, quality is more important than quantity, so I use one edge of the blade for the 1st shave and the other edge of the blade for the 2nd shave, and then I throw away the blade, so I don't care how many shaves I might be able to get with each blade as that's not important to me.
astra double edge razor blades
Comfortable, little to no drag.
This is my Blade
After trying many different blades I chose Astra as my preferred Blade. I also really like West Coast shaving, but you can buy Astra 100 pack on Amazon for about $9.00.
Superior blades. Long lasting and very forgiving. I have very sensitive skin and these blades are the answer.
Useing with the Parker 96R
Useing with the Parker 96R razor and the Astra Superior Platinum works really well.
