Great boar brush, excellent value

I don’t know how anyone could rate this less than a “super” value. It’s only like $10! You just need to know what you’re getting. This is a boar brush. It’s not as soft as badger or synthetic, especially not at first. The strong, stiff bristles are excellent for whipping up a lather. With use it will break in and the tips will split and feel much softer (especially when wet), and you’ll get awesome soft bristles on your face but a very sturdy backbone at the same time. This brush in particular has very tall bristles with a lift of 63 mm I think. Combine that with the large handle and it’s an excellent brush for a bowl lather (or a face lather). And that handle is great. It is plastic, but it does not feel cheap at all. The large size and shape make it a joy to use. I really like the handle. It’s been a fantastic brush for me and a great introduction to boar brushes. It’s easy and comfortable to use and very effective. I have not tried a lot of boar brushes, but I doubt you’d be able to beat it for the price.

Good introductory brush

This is my first brush and though I haven't perfected my lather, I don't think that's the brush's fault. I didn't notice any weird smell when I first used it and I've only lost a couple of bristles since then. The handle is a bit big for my small hands, but I manage fine. I'm happy with the quality of this brush.

Perfect brush

It takes a few shaves to get used to the brush. But once you get use the brush the bristles get a lot more comfortable. I don’t think you can get such a great brush for this great price.

Perfect

I got this brush to use with solid soaps, and man does it work perfectly. Holds a lot of lather, I can get up to three passes with it. Easy to use, I like the “flimsy” backbone others complain about. You can’t beat this bargain brush.
