Look Forward To Shaving Now

Being new to using a safety razor and lathering with soap and a brush, I have nothing to compare it too, but the brush seems to do the job just fine. Soaks up a lot of water and soap and after working up a thick smooth lather, it's easy to apply a lot to my face.

Amazing brush

I have tried other boar brushes before. After an aggressive 3 day break in period consisting of 3 sets of soaking it in the refrigerator for 24 hours then rubbing it on a dry town for 30 mins the brush soften up amazingly. I own several synthetic brushes and this one rivals it in softness. It has a great backbone and other than the occasional lose hair it does not have a problem. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality boar brush.

Omega brush

Really nice wood, didn't take too long to break in, looks nice except for the logo which rubs off in a couple weeks. Good backbone, can reach if you have a deeper mug/cup.

Took me a little while...

Disclaimer: I have been spoiled by my super large and super plush silvertip badger shaving brush that I received as a gift many years ago. I was looking for something a little different, so I decided to check out this Omega boar hair brush. The first time I shaved with it, I almost put it aside (it was stiff as a board and smelled like wet dog). But I kept with it for a whole week of shaving, and I definitely feel that this is a sweet little brush once it gets broken in. Yes, it is a LOT stiffer than any badger hair I've ever used, and it doesn't hold water like a badger. BUT...I LOVE the handle shape, the size and the way it gets my stubble up after a weekend of not shaving. While this won't replace any of my other brushes for daily use, I will definitely keep it in the rotation and enjoy it as something different (especially after skipping a shave for a day or three).

Omega Shaving Brush

I had a hard time whipping up a thick lather. That may have been a problem with the soap I was using, which wasn't purchased from West Coast Shaving. The handle coloring ran a bit. Other than that, it is a perfectly serviceable brush. I would reccomend it only for its affordability, and the fact that it is made of all natural materials.
