  • Double Edge razor blade, top pick of many wet shavers
  • Stainless steel, platinum-chrome coated
  • Available in 5 pack or 100 pack

Trying to weed through all the different razor blades out there can be as intimidating as speed dating. But don't despair! It doesn't have to be nearly as publicly humiliating. We offer sample packs so you can find the perfect match without the commitment to 100s of blades. But when you find the right one, we offer them in small or economical sizes. Red Personna's are a much-loved blade for their nice edge, comfort, and price point. Give them a try and that might be your next, too!

These are a traditional stainless steel double-edge cutting utensil. They have a "Platinum Chrome" coating for a smooth shave. Men with sensitive-to-normal skin find these to be a great choice. Pop one in any standard DE safety razor and give it a try. And if you find you love it, then you will want to invest in the economical pack of 100 razor blades. Buy more and save!

Size: 5 pack or 100 pack (20 packs of 5 blades)

Made in Germany

Clarification on origin and labeling: The labeling states "Product produced, assembled and packaged with blades made by American Safety Razor Company - Since 1875. Staunton VA 24482, USA." The packaging is made and assembled in Mexico. Additionally, it states "Imported and distributed Personna International de Mexico." The blades are made in Germany, imported to Mexico where they do the final packaging.

good blade, nice price

Wet shaver for two years, recently tried Red Personna blades. Sharper and smoother than the Personna lab blue. As good or better than Wilkinsword which has been my go to blade, as it is good for at least a week of shaving(about 5). At 20 cents per blade, the daily cost of a fine shave is about a nickel( 5 cents). Thus, the most significant cost is the shave cream or soap and the after shave lotion. When my current supply of Wilkinson Sword runs out, I will buy 100 Red Personnas. My beard is average, so I don't see the need for anything sharper such as Feather which has been reported by others as the sharpest blade available. I am also currently evaluating several modestly priced shaving creams from Europe and will post reviews soon.

Solid blade

Smooth shave but irritaion against the grain. Second and third shaves were better than the initial use.

I don't know what happened to these blades....

I used red box Persona for close to 10 years. Then around 2012/2013, they swapped packaging. At that time, the blades noticeably changed as well. They used to be THE BEST razor for a gentle, close shave. Now, they are sharper, less forgiving, and I'd even use the word "harsh" against the grain. Reminds me a lot of Derby, Merkur, or Dorco now. It's a real shame.
