Catie's Bubbles (named after the soap maker's daughter) is getting a lot of buzz these days. This artisan soap maker, Chris, makes his bubbles with simple, natural, vegetable and fruit based ingredients. Catie's Bubbles Shaving Soap, Connecticut Shade was the official soap for the North East Shaver's Meetup, but it turned out so well they are offering it to everyone.
This shaving requisite is a French style soft soap. Coconut oil and glycerin make it a winner in slickness and moisture, just what you need to get the BBS shave you desire. The naturally occurring glycerin and soap salts also make it a thirsty soap. Add water slowly as you whip up a top quality lather. And allow the soap to dry completely after each use. At 4 oz. of soap, you will get superior results for many shaves!
And the scent just might have you channeling Rip Van Winkle as you settle under a shade tree, tip your hat over your face, and breathe in as you drift to sleep. Connecticut Shade has notes of pipe tobacco, vanilla, and oak as well as a spicy hint of nutmeg and leather to finish off this enticing aroma.
