- safety razor
great weight & glide for an SR newbie
Nice shift from a Feather straight blade. Better on the daily/ every other day. Reserving the straight bl. for heavy bearded days. Don’t know how much difference the safety razor makes but the feathers are lasting for several shaves. Much longer than the straight bl. refills. Closed comb seems to do the trick as well. Let’s see what the future holds. A steal at whatever it cost.
Does a good job
Good razor, mild aggressiveness. Worth the price.
The finish, weight, and feel of the razor is spot on for the price point. Happy with it completely. I was worried about the grip as I usually get soap all over my hands, and I'm not looking to slip with a razor on my face. This was not a problem, the spiral cut is more than adequate.
Just received this razor in the mail and couldn't wait to try it. I too, was using a Jagger razor and the threads broke off in the handle. I have been using my spare Jagger and wanted to move it back to my travel razor. I love the weight of the 88S razor and it is very smooth. Very good chrome on the razor head and the stainless handle has the right amount of weight, for me.
Quality and value!
The "WCS Classic Collection Razor 88S, Stainless Steel Closed Comb" is awesome. My Edwin Jagger died after a few years and I was about to buy another when I saw WCS had their own line of razors. The style of the barber-pole handle caught my eye and the price was amazingly low. It did not disappoint. The stainless handle is attractive, heavy, and well balanced with a good grip. The shave is close and smooth. Seriously, there is no need to drop big bucks on a razor when WCS has this kind of quality and value.
