Perfect Summertime Barbershop Scent
Very woody with a slight hint of citrus. But a warm weather type of woody, not the spicy woody that you smell in winter fragrances. Lasts maybe 2 hours, that's my only complaint but it does give off that awesome TOBS barbershop vibe!
If you like the shaving cream, try the cologne...
I would describe the scent of Eton College as citrus flower topnotes with a woodsy base. It is a nice combination. Although named for a London prep school, it is good for all ages. The shaving cream has a light pleasant scent while you shave. The aftershave is great for guys who prefer an alcohol aftershave. Personally, I find it reduces redness and irritation, following the burn when you first apply it. The aftershave does not linger for more than an hour after your shave, though. If you want the Eton College scent to last the day, you'll need the cologne. This is a top notch British historic brand that won't break the bank.
Taylor of Old Bond Street's Eton College Cologne has become my new daily cologne. I love its scent. I can best describe it as having notes of citrus and flowers while still being distinctly masculine. It is sweet, crisp, and light. I'd describe it as being similar to (Calvin Klein) CK One, but with a more pure, layered, and mature scent. I also like its price. It is half the price of my prior selection. It is nice to be able to use it daily without worrying about cost. It's lightness also makes it harder to "overdo" it. I'm sensitive to fragrances, particularly those with clove. This one doesn't irritate me.
