Declaration Grooming Shaving Soap, Son Et Lumiere
- Tallow-based shaving soap
- Scented with autumn leaves, pavement, and rain
- Also available in a matching aftershave splash
Based in Ferndale, MI, Declaration Grooming is the brainchild of Scott Stewart. He has been crafting soap, designing labels & marketing, as well as all the in-and-outs of a business for years. You can enjoy his phenomenal products and scents.
Milksteak is the tongue-in-cheek name that Scott gave to this shaving soap base. And no wonder, with bison tallow and a plethora of butters, milks, and more, you get more than a nod to milk and steak. You also get a rich, dense lather with this great recipe.
Imagine an impressionist painting of a Paris street in fall and you will have the idea of this scent. Son Et Lumiere (sound and light) seeks to evoke the petrichor-like aroma of a city after a rain. Notes of autumn leaves and pavement blend with a distinct fragrance of rain. It is a distant cousin to Bangarang (a more classic “earth after a rain” scent) but still an approachable accord.
