This utensil is small, but mighty. With its pure badger hair, it holds water well and whips up a great lather, even though it is a little more "scritchy" than higher grades of hair. (Some really like this as they want a good exfoliator in their brush.) With a little breaking in, this grooming essential will provide with you many exceptional shaves.

Great value

I use this brush a whenever I'm in a hurry to shave. The small size and stiff bristles create a thick creamy lather that provides great lubrication. It doesn't take much soap, water, or time to get it going. Pure Badger is underrated for its ability to create a great lather. The value for the price can't be beat. The only downside is that the brush I received had a very strong badger funk stink. I tried all the remedies of soaking in citrus cleaning solution, etc..., and nothing really worked. The only thing that worked was time using a citrus-based soap without tallow. I tried it once with a tallow-based soap with musky scent, and nearly threw up. But after a month of break-in, the funk was gone, and it works great on all types of soaps. Perhaps a fair tradeoff for such an inexpensive brush, and perhaps the more expensive pure badger brushes have less odor out of the box.

Pure

Okay, a pure brush, even one from the UK is going to have some scritch. Wash with shampoo and then conditioner. Repeat with conditioner several times. This will remove the funky odor and soften the bristles. Good size handle on this one. Nice, short loft. Big enough to do the job. Quality item. Zero bristle loss. If you like a small brush, this one charms.

Great Little Brush

IMO this is the perfect little brush for travel or as an inexpensive start into wet shaving. For as small as the knot is, it has pretty good backbone.

Easy to use just the right size

I like the feel in my hand and the texture if the bristles it works better than my old brush even when it was new. Would recommend to everyone.
