(No birds were injured in the making of these razor blades...)
Feather brand razor blades will apparently make any razor user-friendly. I threw one in my open-comb razor and got the best shave of my life (to date), in over fifty years of shaving. I get two excellent & humane shaves from one blade, and a third shave if I go more slowly. I possess BB skin and steel wool beard, hostile to daily shaving and grooming tools. These blades should be safe for any skin/ beard combo!
Feather DE blades
Feather is a great blade and very sharp. I've averaged getting 5-6 shaves per blade.
The sharpest double edge blade
Years ago I tested West Coast Shaving (when you were on the left coast) blade offerings in the trial packs; this after pulling out my childhood razor and dumping disposables. Feather by far cut closer, smoother, and cleaner than the other blades. Restock from WCS on a regular basis. Second best are store branded made in USA, but getting harder to find.
I've used 4 other brands, the Feather is super sharp and smooth. Normally I can only use each side once, but with these I get 2 fantastic shaves on each side, even got a third.
Tried and ture
I first used Feather Blades back in the early 1970s when I was in Japan and they have worked well for me. Not everyone has the same bread and some say they are to sharp for them.my son uses Bolazano superinox and says that they are good for him
