Gillette Silver Blue Double Edge Razor Blades, 5-pak.
Great shave and I get a full week of shaving from one blade. So far in my experience it is hard to beat the value of this blade for my shaving. I have very stiff whiskers and the softest baby skin. This blade handles my needs at a great price. I use Cremo as a daily shaving cream and use Edwin Jaeger on Sundays or special occasions.
I haven't broken them.open yet but can say that the ordering process was smooth.
the best blades
I was a Feather fan since they give you a very close shave; however after falling victim to their aggressiveness too many times I decided to try some other blades. After testing many other brands I finally decided to give the Gillettes a try (i didn't try earlier since its a well known supermarket brand and I thought too boring...boy was I wrong) and wow, these shave close, clean and I almost never get any cuts with these (sensitive skin). To me these are the best blades you can buy.
Just OK, not bad not the best
Saw some good reviews, I think the only people that like these are the people that cant afford or are too cheap to spring for the Feather blades, which I think are much better, stiffer and cut through better.
Best blade with Karve Christopher Bradley.
Feathers were my blade of choice with my Meekur 34C. They are too aggressive in my Karve Christopher Bradley. Wilkenson Sword, Gillette Platinum, Astra, and Gillette Silver Blue competed in a couple-week shave-off. Silver Blues won out: sufficiently aggressive and smooth. That's my experience. Given all of the variables, yours could be different.
