The other swore allegiance to boar brushes, preferring the excellent lather and rugged good looks of the sturdier bristles. The feud was settled only when the two patriarchs forged an alliance. They decreed that neither boar nor badger was the one true brush, and from their treaty grew Semogue - a shaving brush company for the ages.
