Omega 636: nice brush, great lather
I just been shaving with my new Merkur razor and brush for about a week now. I decided to give wet shaving another chance after an unsatisfactory experience mostly because of using cheap drug/discount store products and I'm glad I did. So after a long absence, I got in to learning about wet shaving and decided to splurge on some really good equipment. This is a nice looking brush and it looks great next to the bathroom sink. Really enjoying the great lather this brush gives and the close shave. A great shave with a great feel.
Best shave ever!
I thoroughly enjoy shaving now. This brush makes my face feel clean.
My Review by A. Buyer
When I first began wet shaving a few years ago, the first brush I purchased was a Simpson, simply because I knew it was an old brand and I assumed it to be of high quality. After the first use, a multitude of hairs fell out of the brush and, after two years and countless hairs cleaned out of the soap container and rinsed down the drain, I decided it was time for a change. I've been using this Omega for a month and have not lost a single hair. The hair is soft and flexible. While it seems to take a little longer to whip up a lather in the bowl, it does a great job of spreading and lathering the soap on my face and feels great in the process. I would have been more pleased it the handle were ceramic or some natural material but, you get what you pay for. Overall, I'm very happy with the Omega.
I've been using a brush for many years and this replaces one that finally wore out. Bristles are great. The handle is too short for my comfort level.
Elegantly made, holds moisture well allowing easy whipping of lather, feels great on the skin.
