Description from the Vendor

Scotsman Alexander Simpson started production of shaving brushes and male grooming ancillaries in 1919 and is widely regarded as a pioneer in the industry. Manufacturing was originally based in the East end of London but later in Clapham. In 1941, following the loss of his factory during the World War II German Luftwaffe blitz, production was moved to the West Country at the famous Nimmer Mill. Today Simpson shaving brushes and associated products are manufactured by Progress Shaving Brush (Vulfix) Limited on the historic Isle of Man. They continue to be produced in the traditional way using hand tied knots by time served, skilled workers.

The Trafalgar is the latest offering from our new line of Alexander Simpson Est. 1919 shaving brushes. This superbly crafted & eye catching lathe turned handle is filled with our uniquely sourced Sovereign grade synthetic fibre.

Luxurious Brush

I had always heard synthetic brushes were soft. I don’t know about others, but this is luxuriously soft. I like it a lot. My last shave using Mitchell’s Wool Fat lathered with this brush resulted in a never-ending luxurious lather. Note the word luxurious. I also have an Omega 31064 boar and a Parker silver tip badger. Both are great. I am pleased with all my brushes.

Quality at a reasonable price

I find this to be a very nice all around brush, fine with both soaps and creams. With reasonably priced synthetics of this quality there is no reason to ever buy another badger or boar brush.

Surprisingly nice!

I bought 2 of these for my sons to introduce them to wet shaving. I am a super badger brush shaver, so it was with some trepidation that I selected these. I was so surprised at the quality when I inspected them after receiving them. After we try these, if they prove to be as nice as they seem, I will buy another for myself.

High Performance Synthetic Brush

Excellent brush!!! Compares favorably to an almost new vintage Muhle silver tip badger. High quality, thick resin handle that just feels right in the hand. The synthetic badger is easier to maintain and produces great lather!!! I’ve bought my last badger brush. Great, substantial brush at a very reasonable price.
