Solid well-made razor. Glad I found this. For anyone who needs to replace an old ATRA, or for that matter, improve on the one you have now, this is the way to go.
Great and very happy !
Works very well, it's a little heavier than the old one. But that's not a problem.
A sturdy handle with good balance. A keeper.
Atra Razor from 1977
I have had my Atra Razor handle since 1977. YES, 1977 and it's still going strong. I was thinking recently how long I have had it and this site came up when I was Googling Atra history. Glad they still make it but I can sure all that it wan't $22.00 back then. :) Wonder if they still make the quality into it they did then? It's a fantastic razor and you can get a huge bargin on blades. Stopped buying the Gillette brand when they got too expensive whenever that was because I started finding the generic blades at Family Dollar back in the 90's and when they dropped them a few ago now get them now at Dollar General. Twin Blade Cartriges with pivotal head and lube strip just like the orignial from Gillete for $1.65 for 6 blades (as of 8-21-18) and they last! If you want a super handle Atra is the one and the baldes are cheap in $'s but fantastic in quality at Dollar General.
