If you love wet shaving, tradition, and good workmanship, then check out these stainless steel safety razors to enhance your classic shaving game. Check out West Coast Shaving Classic Collection Razor 78S.

This textured handle is constructed with solid 303 stainless steel so it is long-lasting, corrosion-resistant, and gleaming. This is a slender grooming requisite. The handle diameter isn't a large as some but it has extra length. The perfect tool for longer strokes- head shavers and woman shavers might really like this possibility. It has a nice knurling pattern for excellent grip in wet environments. The heads are zinc-alloy with chrome-plating. This razor comes with a closed comb head. (The handle is compatible with most standard 3-piece, DE safety razors).

We are so passionate about getting these classic tools into the hands of everyone that we've created a high-quality, razor-to-last-a-lifetime at an economical price point. Viva La West Coast Shaving!

Well-balanced and effective, it is subtly etched with WCS on the bottom!

Like it so much, bought it again after I broke the first one

I like this thing. Kid dropped mine in the tub after a few years, and it broke - so I ordered it again. Like the weight, like the size, A+.

WCS Classic Collection Razor 78S, Stainless Steel.

I've used it only a few times, since I don't shave everyday. This razor, as expected, has a lot more heft than the plastic handled one it replaced. It is easy to control and is fairly well balanced. I especially like the knurled handle.

Ok, heavier than I prefer but usable. Seems slightly more aggressive than the Merkur 23C 60 gram 4 inch long handle I started with. Still --- on sale for $18 and no shipping makes it hard to complain. Had issues with handle to head fit on first one but WCS replaced immediately on seeing pix.

Good, great value. Heavier than 60-70 gram razors, but OK. I started with 60 gram Merkur 23C razor and this 78S was noticeably heavier at 78 grams but Ok. Would not want anything heavier. But for about $18 it's hard to complain. I'll stay in the 60-70 gram range in future. Just purchased Edwin Jagger Black Extra Long which is lighter and very nice.

High quality at a great price

My new WCS 78S razor along with a sample pack of blades arrived today, and I am impressed. The first thing I noticed was how weighty, and nicely finished it is. Even the packaging was designed to make a good first impression. I came to the decision to purchase a safety razor by a strange route. I am in my 80s,and haven't used a safety razor since I was in the army in the early 60s. All I have been using over the years have been disposable or cartridge razors, and finding it was taking so long to get a halfway decent shave, I figured I might as well look at an electrical razor. When reading all the reviews a few things stood out. No matter how much you paid, they all had a lot of mechanical failures, and required yearly purchases of the cutting heads, which were not inexpensive. Also in many cases the rechargeable batteries are only good for a few years which again are expensive to replace. In most cases the electric razor is considered an expensive disposable item. In almost every review the shave from electric razors were being rated by how close they were to shaving with a simple safety razor, which seemed to be the standard of excellence. Well I figured if a safety razor is the gold standard in shaving, why not just buy one of those, which I did. After inserting an Aster blade, and soaking my face with a hot washcloth, I lathered up with some Barbersol from the can, and went to work. At first I was disappointed because it didn't feel like the razor was doing anything, but I was wrong. Compared to the disposable razor, it was slicing away without effort, and after I was done all I had to do was unscrew the razor a bit to flush it out. Good luck cleaning a cartridge or disposable razor, it can't be done. After about 60 years I have come full circle and still had the touch. A suggestion to newbies coming from cartridge razors is to use a very light touch, and let the razor do all the work. If you use the same pressure you used with a cartridge razor, you are certain to cut yourself. Now for the coolest part, my old house still has a slot in the back of the medicine cabinet to dispose of the old razor blades. They just accumulate behind the wall in the frame of the house, never to be seen again. If I am lucky enough to survive the Covid-19 pandemic, this razor should last the rest of my life.
