Captain's Choice Shaving Soap, Sandalwood

4 Reviews
  • Artisan shaving soap from the Captain
  • Luxurious cream with glycerin and coconut oil for glide and moisture
  • Scented with Captain's Choice proprietary fragrance of sandalwood

Why do you see so much sandalwood in men's fragrances? Because women love sandalwood, that's why! Captain's Choice has taken this staple of men's grooming scents and blown people's minds with a one-note take on a classic. Now that aftershave scent is available in a shaving soap.

The Captain doesn't do things half way so when he decided to venture into shaving soaps, he did his homework, wrangled up the volunteers, and produced a luxurious, thick, creamy, lathering grooming essential. Loaded with glycerin and coconut oil, you are sure to get the glide and moisturizing you need. You get a dependable lather that lasts and lasts. The 5oz of soap comes in an ample 8oz tub so you can load and lather right in the container. No extra vessels, no losing your precious suds. They've thought of everything!

And now you can match the classic, yet modern, Sandalwood Aftershave with this amazing soap. The aroma is designed to be "just there", not overwhelming or prominent. There is a little bit of zest in the top note but it is mostly a gentle, lingering aroma of true sandalwood. This fragrance will subtly attract those around you.

A timeless, traditional scent that can't be beat! You can't go wrong with Captain's Choice Shaving Soap, Sandalwood.

Nice Addition

Found this soap was a tad slow to lather up the first couple of shaves. Then on the 3rd shave it seemed to lather uo real well using an old boar brush that was at one time made availabke to members of the Badger and the Blade.Razor used was a futur clone. Scent is awesome and lasts a pretty good amount of time. The glide was smooth and left me with an awesome bbs shave on 3 passes.Add moisture to this soap slowly. When I bought the soap I also bought the aftershave in the same awesome scent

Another great product by the Captain

I purchased the Captains Choice Sandalwood shaving cream and aftershave. The lather produced is awesome is very thick, cushioning, slick, and provides a great skin feel during the shave. I have not nicked myself at all and my face feels good during the shave. The scent is more of a woodsy scent. Think dried wood that was soaked in a sandalwood scent. It's a bare bones scent of sandalwood rather than a cologne scent. The after shave feels great, it provides a mild sting after you apply it but the face feel you get is really good. I like the aftershave with any sandalwood soap that I have. The scent is exactly the same as the soap. This scent is a discrete scent that will last for a few hours. The protection for the face lasts all day.

Great Smell, Not A Great Shave

My last shaving cream/soap was Crown Shaving Co. cream and it was wonderful, but I wanted to try a soap this time and get something not as minty smelling. The smell of this product was exactly what I wanted, a nice manly sandalwood smell-good stuff. However, using the product left me with very bad razor-burn on my neck-beard area. The Crown Shaving Co. cream never left me with that. I wish I would have just stayed with the Crown Shaving Co. cream.

Good soap

When I first got this and smelled it in the container I didn't think I was going to like it at all. It felt a bit too perfumy for my liking. But I decided to actually try before actually passing final judgement on it. I was really glad that I did, when this stuff gets on the skin the scent actually changes subtly and does smell pretty darn good. I didn't realize this was a soap instead of a cream and used way to much the first time, but this stuff really lathers well. I would recommend this as a good alternative to what ever soap you are currently using.
