Castle Forbes resides on a 6,000 acre estate in Aberdennshire, Scotland. Lady Forbes (wife of the 23rd Lord Forbes) converted the former dairy building on the grounds into a perfumery in 1996. Since then, she has worked with professional fragrance creator, Andrew French, to develop her passion for scent. The Castle Forbes Collection has evolved into a range of top-quality fragrances which is particularly noted for its shaving products.
What makes a balm different than a traditional aftershave? The main difference is that it's much gentler than what you're probably used to. When you use this fine product from Castle Forbes, you're not compromising in any way, but you're going about the business of finishing off your shave in a way that's often much preferable for guys who have sensitive skin. This product doesn't contain a drop of alcohol. That means that if you have trouble with dry skin you won't see it exacerbated if you use this product.
This 1445 aroma honors the year that the Forbes Clan Chief was honored as the First Lord of Scotland. As such, it takes its inspiration from Scotland itself. Notes of fern and grasses are supported by lavender, tarragon, lemon, and bitter orange. Fresh, green, and natural.
