I haven't used it yet. After I've used it, I will put an adequate, helpful review up.
Love me some coffee!
My first soap from Caties Bubbles and it was easy to see why they're so popular. Lathering qualities are top notch and the coffee scent left my bathroom smelling of Baileys or Kahlua - yum yum!
Great shaving soap.
I first found out about this soap when browsing through WCS's soap samplers. I had never even thought about a coffee scented soap but I love coffee and occasionally will have an Irish coffee as well so I was definitely intrigued. I read all the reviews I could find and browsed the maker's homepage. Ingredirects include: coconut oil, shea butter, jojoba and glycerin. With all that and a great scent to boot, I skipped the sample and ordered a full size tub. A few swirls to load my silvertip in the tub, a few seconds in my lather mug with a little hot water and I quickly had a thick, luxurious lather - and way more of it than I needed for a three pass shave. Post shave impressions: my skin is smooth, well hydrated and not a hit of razor irritation. Definitely a soap I'll keep in my rotation and it's a nice change from my other scents.
Superior Quality, Scent... not so much.
This is my first soap from Catie's Bubbles. Having read many complimentary reviews I had to try it. I am a big coffee lover...black no cream. Unfortunately, this soap comes across as very sweet and creamy, akin to Bailey's Irish Cream and not so much coffee. I do not like the scent at all, I hate to say it but almost nauseating . However, the quality as far as slickness, moisturizing, and protection is every bit as good as other reviewers have stated. Part of the joy of wet shaving is trying different products, can't win them all. I will certainly try another scent.
This soap lathers great and smells awesome. The scent is strong putting it on but fades after rinsing. Sort of smells like an old fashion coffee store with the different blends of coffee in jars.
