  • Traditional shaving soap
  • Great slickness and cushion
  • Scented with bergamot, basil leaf, & oakmoss

Greg Smith is the artisan behind Central Texas soaps. He starting making soaps out of necessity to find a better soap that would not lead to a rash or irritation due to his eczema. After experimenting with the process he found that he really enjoyed making the soap and using it. He soon opened up an etsy shop so that his friends and family could try his soaps and ditch the “Big Box’ Soaps.

With the resurgence of traditional shaving, more and more men and women are ditching the canned shaving goop for the beneficial alternatives. Central Texas Soaps decided to throw their hat into the ring and provide a great shaving soap. It gives great slickness and cushion with shea butter, castor oil, and coconut oil as well as the addition of bentonite clay. With the ample tub, you can load your brush right on the puck. Don't be afraid of water as you lather this soap.

Grandpa's Barbershop is Central Texas Soaps version of a traditional barbershop aroma. Just like grandpa would have remembered, notes of bergamot, basil leaf, and oakmoss with a light touch of patchouli round out this classic. A favorite!

CAN’T BEAT THE PRICE!

I have a lot of barbershop soaps, so it seemed logical to try it. It gives a very good shave. Nice scent. But Stirling Barnershop is still my pick. But this is really good soap. You can’t beat the low price!

Comforting!

In a world of many shave creams with sporty scents and promises of quick shaves, this shave soap definitely dials it back to simpler times. The scent is comforting and the lather is rich without much effort. The protection the lather provides is wonderful. I just purchased the Grandpa’s Barbershop aftershave which I am very hopeful will compliment the awesome shave the soap provides!

Not one of my favorite scents.

This isn't my grandfathers or my fathers barbershop scent, but the soap worked out very well. An overall good shave, slickness good had to work hard for a good lather.

Grandpa would approve!

The scent is perfect! Old school barbershop right here! And a five ounce tub instead of three or four. Great value It provides amazing cushion and glide and has excellent retention. Made in America, this soap would definitely have my grandfather's approval.
