Get yourself a good brush to go with this and you'll have everything you need for the most relaxing, refined shaving experience around. D.R. Harris Arlington Shaving Soap, here packed inside a mahogany stained bowl, has a great scent that's masculine and light at the same time. It's refreshing, to say the least, but that's not the only benefit of this particular product. When you're using the really cheap foam in a can that you will find at drug and grocery stores, you can't count on it to hold up until you're done getting rid of your stubble. As it degrades, it ceases to provide lubrication and that exposes the tender skin of your face to the razor. With a product like this from D.R. Harris, the lather lasts your entire shave. It soaks into the whiskers, fattening them and making them easier to cut away. It also soothes your skin. Add to that the scent of this soap ' light and citrus-like ' and you will see why it's so popular with those who take their grooming seriously. Protect your face from burns, bumps and nicks by using the right products and you'll soon see why fewer people are satisfied with lesser products!Refills also available.

Classy shaving soap

As described, lathers well, gives smooth shave, smells nice.

Smells like grandmas perfume

The soap itself is good like all dr harris soap, you don't need a stiffer bristle to get a good lather and the protection is nice but the scent is awful, it's very floral like my grandma's old cheap perfume. If you want a Dr harris I would recommend marlborough or even the sandalwood.

Great soap and nice scent

I just used my D.R. Harris Arlington soap this evening and am totally satisfied. I bought this based on my positive experience with their rose cream and some reviews on a shaving forum that their soap is even better. I'd have to say that to date, this is the best shaving soap I have in my den. Plus, they offer several other products that match the Arlington scent and those are next on the shopping list.

Life is short. Get them all.

I?m not a scent guy. Unscented soaps, laundry detergent, dryer sheets ? well you get the picture. I enjoy a nice shave in the shower and decided to take a chance on these scented soaps. From my research, I already knew they performed beautifully and I figured what the ****, I have to shave almost every day for the rest of my life and want to make it a pleasurable experience. I couldn?t decide on just one scent so I got the Arlington, Lavender Marlborough & the Windsor. I use a different scent each shave. I really didn?t think I would like all of them, but I was pleasantly surprised to discover I like them all. I think a couple of scents took a few shaves to grow on me. Each one has its own unique pleasant scent. Oh and they lather beautifully (with my Simpson Super Badger brush). Of course, your mileage may vary. Life is short. Get them all.

Different experience

Great soap that seems to last quite some time. Love the scent, truly an Englishman's aroma. The bowl is nice, with the lid that rests on top. Lather forms quick, but dries out surprisingly fast. I've had to adjust my lathering technique to suit, as my face was drying when I first used it.
