Declaration Grooming is the sweat and toil of Scott & Saradawn Stewart. Formerly L&L Grooming and Declaration Brushworks, the new moniker doesn't change the years of hard work and dedication these artisans have put into developing their business. From recipe formulation, web design, product crafting, marketing, and the myriad others task, they take their job seriously. From their homebase in Morenci, Michigan, this couple is turning out amazing grooming products. And for this soap, they teamed up with Chatillon Lux, an artisan creating grooming products out of St. Louis, MO. Together, they have created this limited edition soap.
This premium shaving soap (or croap, very soft soap) is loaded with amazing, hydrating, protective ingredients. It has a bison tallow base and lanolin for slickness and glide. Then butters, oils, and bentonite clay whip up the perfect, moisturizing lather that leaves a note-worthy post shave feel.
This scent is a tribute to celebrated bartender (and author of the original guide for mix-masters: The Bar-Tender's Guide: How to Mix Drinks or the Bon Vivant's Companion), Jerry Thomas, whose storied history contained a stint at St. Louis's Planter's House Hotel. Inspired by a drink made with whiskey, chartreuse, and orange bitters, this aroma breaks that traditional mold. The notes include caramel, birch tar, black pepper, maple syrup, vanilla, patchouli, neroli, petitgrain, yuzu citrus, ginger, anise, juniper berry, white grapefruit, wormwood and coriander. Raise your glasses (or razors) to Bon Vivant!
