  • Professional grade straight (shavette) razor
  • Replacement blades change easily (no stropping or honing)
  • Black handle and head are completely sanitizable.

Made with "the strictest pursuit of perfection in razor shaving", Feather Artist Club razors are top-of-the-line, professional grade grooming utensils, backed by eighty years of excellence in cosmetic, grooming, and industrial blade-making. You can't go wrong with this Japanese-style straight razor. Try Feather Artist Club SS Japanese Razor, Black.

This SS series replaces the previous RG model with an improved handle. Made for SUS317 stainless steel, the blade holder head is resistant to heat, chemicals, and impurities and allows you to change blades quickly and easily. Simply pinch the head and the blade falls out. This allows you to quickly refresh your blade between clients or just whenever you are ready for a fresh edge. The rounded shaving head provides a smooth, "soft" shaving experience as the tip disperses pressure at the blade, making shaving less damaging.

The black handle is engineered from a synthetic resin that is extremely heat resistant and durable. The entire utensil can be sanitized by autoclave or disinfectant. Even the head can be dismantled for deep cleaning.

Takes four different Feather replacement blades (Professional, Super, Light, and Pro-Guard) which allow you to adjust the shave to suit your skin and beard.

Great Razor

Wanted a straight razor but not wanting to have to deal with sharpening blade etc. I chose the Feather kamasori. I also don't shave on a daily basis, the Feather double edge blades are one of my favorite. The handle is soft and great in the hand when wet. I can't say I am great at using both hands but don't do too bad. This razor is awesome and I get some of the best shaves just have to take your time. It really works great when the beard is a week old and I can do a bbs shave in 2 passes.....yes I have a heavy beard. Give it a try what do you have to lose? Don't be afraid to try a straight razor just take your time and enjoy the experience.

Easy to learn

I have used this razor only since it arrived. It is my first shaving experience with a straight razor. Even with the guard blades, it shaves very close. I tried shaving soaps, a gel and Edge shaving gel from a can. My barber recommended gels over soaps. The Edge seems the best so far. I haven't tried the wool fat soap and suspect it will be really good. I will use this razor only for the first month to get a skill set and muscle memory. Very few nicks.

Love the Feather!

The Feather artist club ss is a fantastic razor! There is a learning curve, but I am enjoying the process. With the professional blades the ss is sharp enough for me. Maybe I'll try the super blades at some point. I don't use this as my daily shaver yet, but I look forward to each session I do get. Close bbs shaves abound but you need solid technique and a slick lubricating lather. Also wanted to mention that I find the feather handy for trimming my pencil mustache.
