A member of the Handcrafted Soap & Cosmetic Guild, L.A. Shaving Soap Company is committed to bringing you handmade, vegan, cruelty-free, unique soaps. Their Blackfern is the epitome of creative, artisan, and high quality. This phenomenal soap with an intriguing scent is sure to find its way into your line up.
Like all L.A. Shaving Co soaps, this all-natural, vegan soap provides slickness and post-shave to rival any tallow-based offering. The new base includes French red clay and activated charcoal as well as hydrating oils, butters, and glycerin. This grooming essential is known for creating a lather with minimal effort, so it is great for a wet shaving newbie. But the performance is so spectacular that classic shaving veterans are singing its praises as well. This base needs a little less water than lots of other soaps, so start with a damp brush and add water as needed to achieve a thick, creamy, slick lather.
Fougere is the name for a family of perfumes whose founder was said to say, "If God gave ferns a scent, they would smell like Fougere Royale." The idea is a fresh, natural scent of a forest floor with notes of lavender, oakmoss, and coumarin. This Blackfern aroma is a take on a floral fougere. So, this blend takes essential oils of lavender, patchouli, geranium, bergamot, clove bud, eucalyptus, and vetiver and combines it with extracts of peppermint and orange to bring you a deep, complex fragrance.
