  • Traditional hot process soap
  • Vegan-based
  • Scented the original scent of lavender, mint, and rosemary

Martin de Candre (MdC on many wet shaving forums) is legendary in wet shaving circles. It has consistently ranked at the top of best-sellers lists, favorites rankings, and well-loved artisans blogs. They have helped to define the resurgence of traditional men's shaving in France and around the world. Since 1974, they have been crafting soap based on an almost lost art. This family-owned business uses the Marseilles process with almost exclusively vegetable oils.

This vegetable-based soap gets rave reviews. Loaded with olive and copra oils, it is hot saponified and dried for weeks to produce the long-lasting soap that is so beloved by millions.  It lathers quickly into a soft lather that stays on the face to provide protection and lubrication. And it lasts!

This original scent is essential oil only. Notes of lavender, mint, and rosemary create an elegant freshness that pleases the masses. These natural aromas will fill your shaving den and making your morning routine a delight.

The reason MdC became a shaving need in all our dens.

MdC Original is a well blended mix of lavender, mint and rosemary. The soap is triple milled and very dense, loaded properly it will last many years. Makes it a great value. The shave is outstanding, with great glide, secondary glide and protection. The scent is mild and captivating. Highly recommended.
