He started by sourcing products from other countries to meet the needs of South Africans, and then he began crafting his own products. This Frosted Lavender is a delight for wet shavers who love a mentholated soap. The calming notes of lavender and the chill of the menthol make an out of this world combination.

Ingredients: stearic acid, shea butter, potassium hydroxide, purified aqua, vegetable glycerine, avocado oil, bentonite clay, sodium hydroxide, pure essential oils, fragrance oils, tallow.

Do You Like Menthol? Do you LOVE it??

I purchased this shaving soap for two reasons. First, I’ve never purchased this brand and I was very interested in its quality and attributes. Second, my favorite manufacturer (Barrister & Mann) had a seasonal fragrance, Terror, that was my first foray into a menthol soap and I really liked it. I like B&M because of the rich lather. This Master Soap Creations also has a very rich lather that pretty much demands water!! In that respect, it’s great! I never thought I’d find another soap to river Barrister & Mann’s lather, but this might be one! Now, regarding the menthol here. The first time I used this soap, I was overwhelmed, to the point I was nearly nauseated. TOO MUCH! The menthol is way over done. Nothing subtle. After using this soap a dozen times, I’ve developed a tolerance to it, but I cannot say I enjoy it anywhere close to the Terror fragrance from B&M. I appreciate a menthol that cools the skin, but not one that assaults the sinuses. Still, I am giving this 4-Stars due to the rich lather and ability to maximize water. Some soaps get thinned out quickly. Not this one!

Handcrafted Master

Frosted Lavender is a rich, well formalized, quality soap with a perfect scent that protects your face throughout the shave. This is one of the best shaving soaps I have found. Lathers beautifully with a few quick rotations of the brush in the tub or bowl. This soap is masterfully done.
