This precision grooming tool is chrome-plated for corrosion resistant and longevity. It is a 2-piece double edge razor. This means the the top head piece unscrews from the based plate/handle. Switch out the used blade with any standard blade and tighten back together and you're in the game again. The head on this beauty is a "slant bar". The wider gap between blade and bar creates a more aggressive shave. But reviewers rave about the closeness.

This is a heavy duty essential. The 3" handle is knurled and designed thicker for a better non-slip grip in those man hands. Attractive and functional!!

Remarkably Sufficient

It’s was suggested in reviews that this razor was for the seasoned wet shaver. I’m sure it helps to know a bit about the process; but I would certainly recommend this to anyone who needs to shave and wants it close while being a daily razor. You don’t need two to three passes all the time. But this bad boy will knock it down when it needs to. Nicely weighted and very ergonomic. I like the short handle they say this is because it’s less in the way I can imagine. Great choice for me. Don’t forget to use quality soaps and creams…

Easy & Smooth

I thought this razor might be a bit more difficult to use without cutting my chin off from the YouTube guys. They all said it was an aggressive razor that took a progressive wet shaver to enjoy this razor. I was actually surprised at the ease of glide and simplicity of use. I just used some normal strokes for my first pass. Then some shorter ones to baby my face up. It was as simple as that. I merely allowed the weight of the razor to do the heavy lifting with a Feather DE blade. Maybe my soap was better. But it was and is a fun razor to use. Quick every day shaver in my opinion.

Love it.

Love this razor!! Like many of the other commentators, I was a little worried that it would be too aggressive for my somewhat sensitive skin. Nope! And the angle seems to be just what my weird beard growth pattern needs for a super close and comfortable shave. Ditto for my head. I didn't need to adjust at all. The Merkur 37c Slant Bar is now my go to razor, out pacing several more pricy shavers in my den. Love 'em all, but love this one more!!

Great Merkur Razor

The Merkur slant razor takes some getting use to but it provides an excellent shave. I have to use a slight different angle on the razor but it is a pleasure to use.
