Penhaligon - the name itself should send shivers down your spine. This perfumer to royals has been creating innovative, unique, and luxurious scents for almost 150 years. When you want to evoke a memory -- the wildflowers of a spring meadow, the smoke of an autumn bonfire, the pungent herbs of a summer garden, the warming clove of a winter's drink -- look to Penhaligon. Now, they've captured the goodness of orange blossom in this revived-from-the-archives scent: Penhaligon's Orange Blossom EDT Spray.
This eau de toilette was born in 1976, but has been recreated as part of Penhaligon's 2010 Anthology Collection. It boasts headnotes of neroli, violet leaf, bergamot, lemon-cedrat, cardamom, and pink berries. Those top notes give way to a heart of orange absolute, Egyptian jasmine absolute, rose essence, peach flower, and orchid. While this sings with sweet citrus and florals, the base notes bring a balance of sandalwood, Virginian cedar, white musk, and vanilla.
It is packaged in classic Penhaligon fashion in a clear glass bottle. The iconic ribbon which adorns the top is a fitting orange. This scent is like "walking from shade into warm sunshine". A complex fragrance, it can work equally well on men or women.
