Douglas and Frances are the soapmakers behind Phoenix Artisan Accoutrements. They are passionate about creating soaps, aftershaves, and more that enhance your wet shaving routine and make it an experience, not a chore.
Their handmade soap is a hot process, vegan product produced in small batches. The resulting puck whips up a thick, rich lather to protect your face and lubricate your shave. Loaded with glycerin, shea butter, and avocado butter and more, it will hydrate and nourish your skin.
In 1947, Admiral Richard E. Byrd undertook a US Navy operation called "Operation High Jump" to establish a research base in Antarctica. Inspired by this adventurous man, PAA has imagined a scent he might have met along this journey. Using a resin that oozes from the Breu Branco Tree, along with amber, bitter orange, bergamot, and musk, Doug has created this mysterious fragrance. Although the sap from this Amazonian tree is virtually unknown in the US, it still packs a familiar punch. So much so that Doug has dubbed it "The Barbershop Tree". Deeply aromatic and reminiscent of a civilized 50s man, it will likely hit your olfactory buttons too.
