Italian company Saponificio Varesino began soapmaking right at the end of the second World War in Brebbia near the shore of Lake Maggiore. Founder Dante Bardelli began the process of making soap by hand for laundry, bath, and shaving use. Today they still set the standard in these areas along with crafting other grooming essentials. And they are celebrating their 70th anniversary with the release of this scent.
This traditional splash has the characteristics for both a splash and an eau de toillette. You get the benefit of astringent alcohol and moisturizing aloe, oils, and glycerin for your post shave face. But you also get the enjoyment of a long lasting scent. It is released in a special, limited edition glass bottle for this occasion.
For this special milestone, they have created a fantastic, traditional scent. Top citrus notes of bergamot, lemon, and tangerine (quintessentially Italian) give way to a floral body of lavender, jasmine, and geranium. All of this is laid on a woody tail of amber and vetiver.
