Italian company Saponificio Varesino began soap making right at the end of the second World War in Brebbia near the shore of Lake Maggiore. Founder Dante Bardelli began the process of making soap by hand for laundry, bath, and shaving use. Today they still set the standard in these areas along with crafting other grooming essentials.
This bathing soap is a hard puck of lathering goodness. It is a 100% vegetal soap from traditional manufacturing processes. And it is beautifully presented in an elegant cardboard box. The bar is wrapped in delicate tissue paper as well.
This scent, with the aroma of the mountains, contains an extract of Edelweiss (the ubiquitous flower that grows in the Alpine hills and made famous in the Sound of Music). Along with hazelnut oil, they balance the other ingredients to improve shave performance. This mesmerizing scent has notes of lemon, bergamot, & basil in the top. Then citrus, myrtle, and eucalyptus rest on a base of cypress and amber.
