At eight-years-old, Triton Chicago Founder, Joe Wortell, found his life's calling. The moment he walked into Andy's Barbershop he became enamored with the tools of the trade. After barber school, an apprenticeship with an old Italian barber, and years honing nearly lost techniques, Joe suffered an injury that sidelined him for a time. During that respite, he began creating high quality, laser cut stainless steel grooming products. Check out their sleek, streamlined, minimalist shaving stands for razors and brushes.

Manufactured right in Chicago, this company is dedicated to producing exceptional products. The simple design lets your razor & brush shine and the small footprint clears up counter space. Don't throw your utensils in a drawer! Your grooming utensils should always be allowed to dry between uses so let them dry and shine with this grooming requisite. The brushed stainless steel will it do just that. (Or get it in black powder coated finish).

Great holder for my badger hair shaving brush, not so great for my Merkur 38C

This holder is heavy, well balanced, and stays in one place; it's unlikely to tip over into the sink. The stand is made of 13 gauge (or so) steel, so it's substantial, and it looks good. My brush with a 28 mm knot fits well sitting on the base of the handle, and the upward tilt of the prongs allows the brush to tipped outward for drying. The stand holds my Merkur razor just fine, but it's a two-hand job to remove the razor from the stand and get a grip on the handle. You can put the razor in the stand one-handed by gripping the non-blade edges of the head and setting it down. It's better to remove the brush before removing or replacing the razor, and there is a rather loud metallic clang when hitting the stand with the razor's handle or head. The stand is probably a better fit for a straight razor or a longer handled razor like my old Schick or Gillette 2-track cartridge razors.

Great low profile stand.

I was looking for a low profile brush and razor stand. The quality of this stand is excellent. The opening for the brush is snug for for 24mm knots and it pinched the knot as it goes in. I took a Dremel tool and some 3000 grit sandpaper to it and now the opening accepts 26mm knots no problem at all.

Great Product and Value

I highly recommend this brush/razor stand. The stand is very minimalist and looks great on my counter top.

Good for knots smaller than 24mm and straight razors. I cant use it, but its a good stand.

The short version of this review is: Dear Triton Chicago, please make a shorter version of this w/ a wider brush opening and a side opening for safey razors. The long version: So the steel work on this is great and thoughtful. The bottom of the base has rubber feet' for sturdiness, has nice weight to it, sleek design, and the edges are all beveled so there are no sharp steel corners pinching into your brush's fibers or scratching resin handles. For me however, I couldn't use it. I have 7 shaving brushes between 24 and 26mm knots and the measurements should have made this stand fit the 24mm knots - but they'll only fit if the entire handle sits on top of the stand and you pinch the knot into the opening, which I'm just not comfortable doing. The brush opening is 24mm, the diameter is about 28mm. The other thing, EVEN if my brushes could go on it, this is really designed for straight razors (the hole at the bottom is great for anchoring the strait razor tail and keep it from slipping. But it's not fore double edge safety razors. The hole for the razor is 30mm x 18mm but is a hole, it doesn't open to the side like other similar designs, which means you're picking up a safety razor with your fingers right by the blade (which is not safe). So for these reasons begrudgingly I cannot use this other wise real sexy piece of shaving accessory.
