Voskhod DE Blades - Reviewed
My experience was great,,,,,,Sharp and Smooth with no regrets. Please note, however , I use enough preshave oil to cover the action. Truly , the only way to know for sure is to try a pack yourself. The price point is o.k.
Inexpensive with unanticipated great quality shave.
I bought a pack of Voskhod and another of Bolzano to try with my Merkur 34C. Both delivered a sharp, mild shave. Both seemed worthy of trying with my Karve Christopher Bradley D-plate. Again, both delivered sharp, mild shaves. My standard for the 34C is Feather -- always sharp and generally mild enough with no real irritation. That said, there is no way Feathers can graduate to my Karve. They are way too aggressive for my face and beard. Given the price points on the Voskhods and Bolzanos, I need to see which delivers more shaves for the money. But at this insanely low price, Voskhod definitely is in the running and if it holds up through four shaves, will win out. I'm impressed.
This blade has given smoothest shave. No cuts or nicks.
Voskhod - serviceable but mediocre
Not as good as Polsilver, which I also purchased for review and try-out, nor as good as long time champ, Feather, or everyday fallback, Astra. Still a competent and workmanlike blade, just not as smooth or comfortable as others in the drawer.
Great Everyday Razor
Excellent shave, normally smooth, no issues 4.5 Stars
