Looking for a quality strop with some nice bells & whistles for your "cut throat" shaving, but at a price that doesn't have bill collectors at your throat? Check out the Herold (aka Kohl & Laibach) collection of strops. For nearly 100 years, they have been crafting this grooming essential in Solingen, Germany. Although they often produce their product under other brands, they also manufacture their own.
The Herold 193j Russian Leather strop is a great hanging style tool to keep your edge in tip-top shape. One side is Russian leather which is known to be hard-wearing, elastic, and water-resistant because of the birch oil added after tanning. The other side is a prep side of real linen (the one derived from flax, not an imitation of cotton, hemp, or other plant byproduct).
It is topped with a metal, swiveling loop so you can conveniently switch the sides without having to unhook and re-hook the strop. A cushioned handle is sewn to the bottom D-ring to provide a comfortable grip as you prepare your blade for an exceptionally smooth shave. Both endcaps are sewn to the stropping leather and the top is stamped with the Herold trademark.
Keep your blade shave ready with Herold!
