This absolutely stunning razor is as special as its namesake, the legendary racehorse Schwarzgold. In the late 1930s, this phenomenal horse made a name for herself with jaw-dropping wins. Boker sought to capture the elegance and legend of the horse in a razor. They began with the blade. A carbon steel blade glided in 24-carat gold and then coated with Ruthenium, an extremely hard platinum metal. It retains its anthracite color and silky sheen because of the negative process that holds to the gold gilding. The blade is extra hollow ground and holds an edge wonderfully.

The scales are made of local, black bog oak wood which picks up the beautiful color of the blade. This is an exceptional razor to represent an exceptional racehorse.
