I tried the sample size first. Love the lather and scent. Just s great product
Lathers well even in hard water. Awesome scent and glides well with my razor.
Heck, it's Pricey. Heck, It's Worth It
This was the very first "quality" shave cream I bought when I started out with this wetshaving thing the better part of fifteen years ago. Yes, it was diving in at he deep end, and it was great - but I gave it up fairly early on account of being a bit of a cheapskate. Fast-forward to the present: a month-long trip through Europe late last year left me a bit flummoxed about what to pack for the shaving portion of my grooming kit; long story short, I came across a tube of Harris Arlington, vaguely recalled my first time using it, and robbed it on the spot. Best decision I could've made. Now I have both a bowl for home *and* shaving stick for travel. It's every bit as good as I remember - thick, slick, cushion-y, and allowing for consistently-close shaves, with a scent that's simply "just right"...aromatherapy for grown-ups. Definitely on the spendier side of the ledger, but in this case you truly DO get what you pay for. Highly recommended.
Great shaving cream
Smells great, smooth shave. Just buy it. Better than Art of Shaving. Nice light lemon scent.
Go to shave cream
I was regular user of Trumper Rose shave cream. On a trip to London and a visit to the Trumper store in Mayfair, we were ignored by the two young ladies minding the shop. We stopped in at D.R. Harris and were treated like we are the reason for the Royal Warrant. I switched to this shave cream after a sample. Neither is better or worse when used with a brush. But this can be used without a brush while the Trumper's doesn't work well that way. That's a boon when traveling. Still use Coral Skin Food from Trumper, but use this shave cream and the cologne.
